UniMaker is an excellent program for creating levels with a similar structure and style to those in classic 2D video games for 8-bit and 16-bit consoles, such as the Mario Bros saga. This concept is clearly inspired by a well-known program called Mario Maker, only this time, it's taken shape as a PC-exclusive fangame.

This program is good for two things: creating levels and testing the worlds you've created, as well as those created by other players and shared online. Both features are available on UniMaker's interface, but to load levels, you'll need to find the file by browsing. That's because they're external elements that haven't been built into the game itself.

The editor contains more than 20 different templates based on the worlds you know and love, including meadows, caves, lava, and underwater worlds, as well as many others. There's also a wide range of enemies and objects that you can drag and drop to add to your scenarios. As if that weren't enough, you can also edit the default sprites and tiles to add your own spin, an option that exponentially increases the possibilities for making a truly unique scenario. You can even edit the level's configuration files by using a simple scripting language to add special rules.

UniMaker is a fantastic program where you can let your imagination run wild as you invent your own worlds to add to the Mario universe. More importantly, you can share your work and explore others' as it's shared.
